You have to use all the letters of the alphabet

You can't just go around ignoring the ones you don't like. Mr. Capital H might get hurt feelings about this.

Another hurricane survivor

These pictures are from my first session with this 5-year old survivor of the hurricane in Puerto Rico.
He was happy and excited to start learning English.

Fatima’s mother is a henna artist

Fatima is one of my sixth grade students.

A present

I was feeling blue, so I bought myself a present. It's a healthy present, which I can use now and after my surgery so it's a good thing.

Shizuka and I went on a field trip today

She gave me some roasted barley tea from Japan awhile back, and I've used it up, so we thought it was a good opportunity to go to the Asian stores and replenish my supply. She needed to get some dumpling wrappers and homemade kimchi (items which would never appear on my grocery list). We went to the bubble tea place afterwards.

The little lion

Isn't he cute with his little folded up feet, and curled up tail?

I didn’t think it would stick!

I don't know why I'm obsessed with this April snow. It's still below freezing at night, too.
