I did two loads of laundry today

These stairs are no longer my enemy.

Our new school

We had three days of 'Summer Institute' training in the new building this last week. It was a breezy day when I took these pics.

Parent Luncheon

I'm back to work for three days this week, for professional development, planning, and today's parent lunch. We had a good turnout of parents and students. It was so nice to see some of the kids whom I haven't laid eyes on since May 30th! We're in a new building this year (and next year) so our good old school can be renovated and enlarged. This new school is big, so the walking portion of my physical therapy will be NO problem!

Pulled string painting

So, in my search for new things to do with students in the fall, I stumbled on this:
from Rachelle Doorley. (Click the green words to go to her website.)

In this one I used purple and green liquid watercolors.
Below, I used regular and hi-flow acrylic paints.

Probably every teacher in the world has done this, but it's new to me.  I'm having fun figuring out how to make it work in a 32 minute time block, with the least amount of mess.
