July Potluck

We had a nice potluck this month at Jon and Shizuka's air conditioned apartment. Joe and I brought potato salad and a variety of hot finger foods (from Trader Joe's hors d'oeuvres section). Anna made bruschetta, Shizzy made sushi and oilinari (can't spell it, can't say it either; rice pockets with shredded veggies on top) and Matt made brownies. It was a delicious gathering.

A Visit to Polska Chata

Polska Chata is a little place in Irondequoit, a deli, small grocery store, and an upstairs restaurant. We went for lunch and had pierogies with goulasch. Yum! 

Mr. Hardy’s Reptile Crew

I spent a few creative hours at University of Rochester today making monoprints with these wonderful students. They are studying reptiles and making books about various creatures. Our monoprints will be used on their book covers. I had a wonderful time.

Leaf Tea Bar

We met at Leaf Tea in the South Wedge neighborhood, and really enjoyed the air conditioning! The tea is good, too!

Luckily my street has a lot of shade. I've been walking indoors during this particular hot spell, though.

Wandering around Village Gate

Just some stuff that caught my camera as I wandered around the stores after a fine lunch at Salena's with the Hardys. They also kindly took me to get my new handicap sign for the car.
