Corona socks Done

I think this is the 11th pair of socks since Corona took over our lives.

This is what I painted today

What I learned from Twitter today

Corona socks number 12

Just getting started with these. 2.25mm needles seem so small today.

Flowers for a rainy day

Ususally, I knit while I'm waiting for something to happen on zoom, or in a meeting that is going on forever. Today, this happened instead.

In the front yard

No idea at all what these are, but they are so pretty!

Art by Josie Lewis

She's an Instagram artist, who does all sorts of amusing and fun art. She loves to lay the acrylic paint on thick, and this painting also has the added attraction of mica glitter in each color. Some of her critics call her a paint waster, but I say keep doing what you do, Josie!

It's Teatime

It is spring in Anna’s front yard

I open the sketchbook and actually paint in it

One of my little students is learning about insects, and she thought we should paint some bugs.

I went to Anna’s house

She's packing up her kitchen stuff, to get ready to rent out her house.

We've had our shots, so we were safe.

I took a little walk

Yes, that's me with the tiny Pinocchio head. Short nose means no lying.

Lo and behold, a sewer cover from my own home state.

So, as you can see this was a very exciting walk.

First haircut in over a year

I went to 12 Corners, and got a real haircut from a real licensed person who is not me in my bathroom with the sewing scissors.

Mr. Fuller Goes Fully Leprechaun

This is my first grade co-teacher, Mr. Fuller. We had a staff meeting on St. Pat's Day, and he really took it to heart. PS- that beard is real.

Two more tiny sweaters

This is Flax by Tincan Knits, and the one below is Dogstar, by the same talented team.

I made the colorwork sweater as a test/experiment with a yarn I hadn't tried before.

Here's the link to my Ravelry page: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/vickibo/dog-star

Random things I found on a walk

I started a complicated little baby sweater.

Okay, I haven't knitted that many sweaters, but this pattern starts out with the sleeves.  I did them two at a time. Then you go to the bottom of the body of the sweater and knit up to the collar. This just seems weird to me. I'm still learning. On the knitting skill scale from 1-10, I'm about a 3.

This pattern is called Dogstar, by TinCan Knits.

Sasha demonstrates the letter J

He is such a helpful little fellow. He heard me working on letter sounds with the kindergarten kids!

Please disregard the ugly flooring. This apartment is ancient.

I’m Indoorsy, but I went out yesterday to pick up my taxes

I did not go to the Cheesecake Factory, but the temptation was real. I see a lot of people not wearing masks, so I don't want to go to any public places (indoors) if I can avoid it.

Thank goodness for Instacart grocery delivery.

My favorite sweater model

Corona Sox 8 turned out ugly!

Here's Sasha, all set to catch a robin

Corona Sox 8 are begun.

And, yes, I am binging on all 7 seasons of Star Trek TNG. No apologies.

Corona Sox 6 & 7

Blobbers Gonna Blob aka I painted something, finally.

Sasha is helping me read a book

My neighbors gave me some dark chocolate, Yum!

Blast from the past: Ms. Hill's Lava Lamp

Toddler sweater

It's weird how the camera records color. This little sweater is the dark burgundy shown on the bottom photo. It's all ready for the buttons. which are coming in the mail. Soon, I hope. Before the kid grows out of the sweater.

GET YOUR SHOT!

Corona socks number five

Corona Sox 5 are started from the toe up.

Corona Sox 4 are finished.

Here’s what Rochester looks like today. Snow outside, zoom inside.
